How do I create my first interview?
Go to your Company Portal, click "New Config" to set topics, difficulty, and question count. Then create a session with the candidate's name and email. Copy the generated link and send it to your candidate.
How long does an interview take?
A standard interview with 5 questions takes about 25 minutes. Demo interviews (3 questions) take about 10 minutes. You can configure question count from 3 to 10.
What do the integrity signals mean?
Tab switches track how often a candidate leaves the interview tab. Paste events detect copied answers. Typing cadence measures whether answers are being typed naturally. These are signals, not automatic disqualifiers.
Can I customize the AI persona?
Yes. Choose from 5 personas: Priya (structured), Arya (fast-paced), Ananya (collaborative), Vikram (deep-dive), or Rahul (practical). Each has a distinct interview style.
How is the scorecard generated?
After the interview completes, our AI analyzes the full transcript, code submissions, and behavioral signals to produce a structured scorecard with per-topic scores, code quality metrics, and an overall verdict.
Can multiple people review a scorecard?
Yes. Share the session link from your Company Portal. Anyone with access to your company dashboard can view the full transcript and scorecard.
For Candidates
Do I need to install anything?
No. SViam runs entirely in your browser. You just need a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and optionally a microphone for voice mode.
Can I use text instead of voice?
Yes. If your microphone is unavailable or you prefer typing, SViam automatically switches to text mode. You can also toggle between voice and text during the interview.
What happens if I lose connection?
Your progress is saved after each question. If you disconnect, you can rejoin using the same interview link and continue from where you left off.
Is there a time limit?
Each interview has a configured duration (typically 25 minutes). You'll see a timer during the interview. If time runs out, your answers up to that point are evaluated.
What programming languages are supported?
The code editor supports Python, JavaScript, Java, Go, C++, and SQL. The language is configured by the company when they set up the interview.

Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit with row-level security. Interview recordings and transcripts are accessible only to the hiring company. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my account?
Email contact@sviam.in with your request. We'll delete all associated data within 7 business days. You can also delete your account from Profile settings.
